Retailer-supplied product details
The Olympus 7-14mm F/2.8 M. Zuiko is a fast wide-angle lens designed for Micro Four Thirds digital cameras.
This 7-14mm (35mm equivalent of 14-28mm) lens with a constant f/2.8 max aperture is part of the Olympus M. Zuiko line, offering exceptional build and optics.
Weighing in at just 1.17lbs, this metallic lens with a large front element and a maximum f/2.8 aperture is perfect for sharp landscape and architectural work, low light photography and more. Not only wide, but the 7-14mm combines close-up shooting capability with an ultra-wide field of view for some truly dramatic shots.
To reduce lens aberrations and color fringing, the lens has been designed with three Aspherical, one DSA, four ED, and two HR elements. The 14 lens elements all incorporate Olympus's Zuiko Extra-Low Reflective Optical (ZERO) coating, adapted from the Olympus industry-leading line of precision microscopes, for virtual elimination of ghosts and flares.
The 7-14mm comes equipped with a L-Fn (lens function) to assign any of 27 different functions which is positioned right on the lens barrel so you can press it without moving your left hand. The quiet Movie & Still Compatible (MSC) lens drive system delivers superior auto-focus and ensures fast and virtually silent performance; particularly important for the videographer shooting HD movies.
